A little about what they do while vacationing with us -

I believe very strongly in the "power of the pack." I care for all my dogs as a calm and patient yet assertive pack leader. We play very hard, just as a dog would in the wild, we often go on trials in the county and to the beach to get their primal need to migrate with a pack fulfilled, we do something similar to this on local trails every single day of their stay. If you would like to ensure your dog visit the off leash beach or hiking areas, this can be arranged for a slightly higher rate for their special excursion day, just let me know when you make your reservations. Otherwise the absolute minimum that we would do together in a day is explained below.

Each dog gets at least one 45 minute walk per day, play with my 2 dogs (whippet x and lab x), goats, pigs, and chickens for a minimum of 4 hours per day outside and then any other time the dogs hang out with me while I wander about working in the house or in the yard. We do not leave the dogs alone or in cages or kennels (ever, unless their very young or very old and prefer to rest in a crate at owner's request only). Should I have to leave the house without the dogs, my mother is here to watch and play with them. (family operated) Oh and the dogs ALL sleep with me in my bedroom, it is just like home.

I have 2 acres here and we all have fun running and playing about. And yes I did mention livestock I show all the dogs that visit how to play with them and we never have a problem. (I've done this with each visitor, since I'm a trainer to) :-)

If you have any behavioral problems that you feel you could use help with I work with your dog and help train her while she stays with me and i make it fun! (basic training is free while they stay with me)

I only do limited in home boarding which means I never have more than 10 dogs on the property at one time, this is how I can do so much with the dogs while they're here. We also do not ever have more than 5 guests overnight, so we fill up fast.
